Knit Knot Teapot - Community Project

The sound of clicking needles will resonate throughout Wandsworth this spring as knitters new and old prepare their own unique designs for an exhibition of quirky and unusual tea cosies.

Experienced and novice knitters of all ages are invited to join a series of workshops led by knitting expert Alison Barnett. During the sessions, to be held at Southfields Library’s meeting room on Saturdays 1, 8 and 15th March, participants will design and make a tea cosy reflecting their own ideas and personality. The workshops will culminate in a show at the gallery, which will also feature knitted works to be accepted by open submission.

Alongside the workshops and exhibition, we will be producing a series of exclusive and collectable featuring tips, hints and snippets about tea, knitting, and artists working with needles and wool. The pack of cards will be available at the gallery and other retail outlets during and after the show.
